A 25-year-old Morgan City man, who was one of five suspects originally charged in a December 2014 attempted murder, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge this week.

The death of a 52-year-old man, who died after a Dec. 27 shooting and standoff in Ashton, has been ruled a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
