Morgan City firefighters responded at 9:35 a.m. today to an oven fire at a Brashear Avenue apartment complex. Firefighters contained the fire to the oven and extinguished the fire, Assistant Chief John Price said. The apartment received minor smoke damage. The fire department left the scene at 10 a.m. today. A total of 18 firefighters, three pumper trucks and one ladder truck responded to the fire. (The Daily Review/Crystal Thielepape)
