Fire in Franklin investigated

Officials are investigating a fire that occurred Monday in Franklin.
Franklin Fire Chief Chuck Bourgeois reported that a 10:42 a.m. call brought the department to 1505 Railroad St., Lot 2, a vacant mobile home.
Upon arrival there was smoke and flames coming from a window on the right side. Firefighters made an interior attack and extinguished the fire quickly.
Investigation reportedly revealed that the fire was deliberately set.
The Franklin Fire Department is assisting the Franklin Police Department with the investigation. Anyone having any information concerning this fire is urged to contact the Franklin PD at 337-828-1716.
