A Baldwin man was arrested Monday after an investigation into shots reportedly being fired at a Franklin residence on May 23.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said officers were investigating the incident on Ibert Street fired at the owner and his residence. The victim’s vehicle window was broken. Police reportedly obtained DNA evidence on the scene leading to the arrest of Kentrell Gabriel, 17, of La. 83 in the Baldwin area. He was arrested with the assistance of the Third Ward Court Marshal’s office and turned himself in.
Gabriel is charged with attempted second degree murder, armed robbery, armed use of a firearm and aggravated criminal damage to property. No bond was set.
