Late registration for TDT-V
Tour du Teche V, marathon races for kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and pirogues, begins Friday, Oct. 3, at Port Barre, La.
Competition is for cash in the Racing Division and for trophies in the Voyageur (recreational) Division.
Saturday, Sept. 13, is the last day to register for Tour du Teche V and its various one-day races at the regular fee of $125 per paddler for racers, $80 for voyageurs and $60 for any of the shorter races.
For the first time this year, it is possible to register after the cut-off date but it will cost more. Registration postmarked between Sept. 15 and 20 will have an additional 25 percent added to the general fee. Registration postmarked between Sept. 22 and 27 will have an additional 50 percent added. All extended registrations postmarked between Sept. 22 and 27 must be paid by credit card.
No registration will be accepted that is postmarked after Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014.
Registration fees include one coureur de bois per boat. Meals are not included in the registration fee.

—Tour du Teche – Port Barre to Berwick, 135 miles over three days; $125 per paddler in Racing, $80 per paddler in Voyageur.
—Crawfish – Port Barre to Breaux Bridge, 34 miles Friday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Acadian – Port Barre to St. Martinville, 49 miles Friday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Hot Sauce – St. Martinville to New Iberia, 24 miles Saturday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Sugar – St. Martinville to Franklin, 59 miles Saturday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Black Bear – New Iberia to Franklin, 35 miles Saturday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Oil & Gas – Franklin to Berwick, 27 miles Sunday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
