4 Corners homicide investigated

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s investigators are investigating a reported homicide in the Four Corners area.
Deputies responded to 3:31 p.m. Wednesday report of a shooting at a residence on Ronald Lane in Four Corners. Upon arrival, the responding deputy located a male subject who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
Emergency medical personnel also responded and transported the subject to Franklin Foundation Hospital for treatment.
The victim, 32-year-old Ronald J. Chillis Jr. of Four Corners, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division.
