Train fatality reported

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported this morning that a person was killed after being struck by a train Wednesday.
Police responded to a 6:16 p.m. report of the incident at the railroad intersection with Tenth Street.
The train was reportedly traveling west, and the victim was walking on the tracks, McGuire said.
No identification will be released until next of kin are notified. McGuire said the investigation is continuing.
