Boustany accepting applications for summer internships
U.S. Rep. Charles W. Boustany Jr., M.D., R-Lafayette, is accepting applications for summer internships in his Washington, D.C., office.
Boustany said, “Washington internships are an excellent way for Louisiana students to get hands-on experience with our government. My office is proud to host these students. I encourage anyone who is interested to apply.”
Interns perform a variety of tasks including legislative research, attending congressional hearings, assisting with official communications and interacting with constituents. There are two summer sessions available for Boustany office interns.
College students and recent college graduates interested in an internship should submit a cover letter explaining their interest and a resume before Feb. 27 to Boustany Chief of Staff Terri Fish at Terri.Fish@mail.house.gov with the subject “DC Intern.” Questions may be directed to the Washington, D.C., office at 202-225-2031.
