Local district attends state conference

Representatives of St. Mary Soil and Water Conservation District attended the annual Louisiana Association of Conservation Districts conference in Baton Rouge recently. Commissioner of Agriculture Mike Strain addressed the group regarding the decrease in soil health across the nation and protection of natural resources. Strain will be speaking this summer at the local district’s annual banquet.
