Keeping power towers cool

Workers are relocating a water line today on Myrtle Street in Morgan City. The relocation is in order to install another water line that will be used to cool the water towers at the Louisiana Energy and Power Authority plant on Youngs Road, said Morgan City Public Works Director Mike Loupe. Treated water from the city’s waste water treatment plant will be used to cool the towers, Loupe said.
