MISSION 5K
Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church Red, White, Blue Memorial Mission 5K Run/Walk, in memory of Dr. Edward Askew, set 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at 517 Federal Ave., Morgan City. Entry: $20 by May 4, $25, race day. All checks postmarked by May 4 eligible for T-shirt. No refunds. No roller blades, bikes or scooters. Race numbers and T-shirt picked up starts at 8 a.m. race day. Awards at 11 a.m. include: overall first-third and age groups. Award to all participants age 12 and under, and youngest and oldest participant. T-shirt can have a person’s name added to dedicate the run to for an additional $5 by May 4. Food and refreshments after race. Proceeds divided between the Pharr Chapel youth group and missions team.
