Morgan City, St. Mary Central top District 3 Tournaments

The Morgan City All-Stars and St. Mary Central All-Stars are currently undefeated in the District 3 Dixie Youth 12s and 10s Tournaments at Caffery Park.
Morgan City currently leads the District 3 - Major Tournament (12s) Tournament with a 3-0 record. Franklin is currently 2-2 with SMC owning a 2-1 record. Patterson is 1-2 with Thibodaux winless at 0-3.
In Friday’s 12s games, Morgan City beat Patterson, 10-0 while St. Mary Central downed Franklin, 4-0. In Saturday games, Morgan City toppled Thibodaux, 12-0. Franklin beat Patterson (10-9) and Thibodaux (10-3). Patterson prevailed over St. Mary Central, 6-3. In Sunday’s action, SMC beat Thibodaux 12-2 and Morgan City nipped Franklin 1-0.
Four games are on tap for tonight’s last night of action. At 5:30 p.m., Morgan City will battle SMC before Patterson squares off against Thibodaux.
In the District 3-AAA Tournament (10s), Franklin beat Patterson 12-0 and SMC defeated Morgan City 16-7 on Friday. In Saturday’s action, Patterson beat Thibodaux 15-4 while SMC edged past Franklin 9-6. SMC toppled Thibodaux, 10-0 while Franklin won over Morgan City 21-6. Sunday’s action had Thibodaux winning over Morgan City 8-4 and SMC beating Patterson, 15-0.
SMC currently heads the 10s standings with a 4-0 record. Franklin is currently 2-1 while Thibodaux and Patterson sport identical 1-2 records. Morgan City is currently 0-3 in the tourney.
Action wraps up tonight in the District 3-AAA Tournament with two games on tap. At 5:30, Patterson will battle Morgan City prior to Franklin taking on Thibodaux.
