Police: Patterson man pointed BB gun at victim

A 54-year-old Patterson man was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm after allegedly pointing a BB gun at another person, according to Patterson police.
—Jeffery Jones, 54, of Cherry Street in Patterson, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Thursday on the charge of aggravated assault with a firearm.
The charge stems from a complaint in which Jones is alleged to have been riding a bicycle and pulled a gun on someone, police said.
Jones didn’t fire the gun, police said. Police discovered the alleged weapon to be a BB gun. No bail is set.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Aketa Francis, 23, of Egle Street in Morgan City, at 8 a.m. Thursday on a hold for St. Mary Parish, a warrant for four counts for failure to pay a fine on the charge of contempt of court, warrant for failure to pay a fine on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting, and on a warrant for failure to pay a fine on the charge of simple battery.
Francis was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Dept. in regards to active warrants held by the Morgan City Police Department.
Francis was jailed.
—Mong Duval, 29, of Williams Street in Patterson, at 9:33 a.m. Thursday on the charge of simple battery.
Duval, who was incarcerated at the Morgan City jail, was accused of committing a battery on a fellow inmate, Blair said.
According to reports, evidence of the battery was substantiated and Duval was booked on the charge of battery.
—Katelyn L. Kruebbe, 20, of Lee Street in Patterson, at 11:27 p.m. Thursday on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance law.
—Samuel D. Rebardi, 19, of Lee Street in Patterson, at 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the charge of violation of protective orders.
An officer with the Morgan City Police Department observed two subjects coming out of a low light area between two buildings at a local recreational complex.
Officers came into contact with Kruebbe, who gave the officer consent to look into her purse and the officer located suspected marijuana and items used to smoke illegal narcotics, Blair said.
Kruebbe was located in the area of a local church. Kruebbe was jailed.
During the investigation, the officer learned that Rebardi had a protective order prohibiting him from being around Kruebbe, Blair said. Rebardi was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 35 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Bruce Gaspard, 61, of the 6800 block of La. 182 in Morgan City, at 10:11 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving in left lane prohibited. Gaspard came to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to visit an offender.
While at the facility, a jailer located an active warrant for his arrest. Gaspard was released on a summons to appear in court Nov. 9.
—Anthony Kidder, 28, of the 1200 block of Clement Lane in Bayou Vista, at 2:14 p.m. Thursday on a warrant charging him with possession of Schedule I synthetic marijuana, possession of Legend Drug naproxen without a prescription, possession of Schedule III Suboxone and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A narcotics detective received information that Kidder was smoking illegal drugs inside a vehicle on Clement Lane.
During the investigation, the detective received consent to search the vehicle and located a bag of synthetic marijuana, Suboxone, and prescription naproxen along with items of drug paraphernalia, Hebert said.
The detective obtained a warrant for Kidder’s arrest. Kidder turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
—Linda Butkus, 56, of the 3600 block of Euclid Street in Houma, at 2:53 pm. Thursday on a warrant for domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace.
—Eric Howard Jr., 17, of the 200 block of Cremo Lane in Patterson, at 3:09 p.m. Thursday for two counts of simple burglary. A detective investigating three vehicle burglaries reported Monday on Cremo Lane identified Howard as a suspect, Hebert said.
While speaking to the detective, Howard admitted to stealing items from vehicles, the sheriff said. He was jailed with no bail set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Reagan Bowers, 17, of Murial Street in Morgan City, at 11:58 a.m. Thursday on the charges of possession of marijuana, possession of Vyvanse, violation of controlled dangerous substance law in a drug free zone, unlawful possession of tobacco by a person under age 18. Bowers was jailed.
—Adrian Hixon, 32, of Uranus Street in Bayou Vista, at 9:26 p.m. Thursday on the charges of two taillights required and driving under suspension. Hixon was released on bail.
