Clarence Verrett Sr.

Clarence Verrett Sr., a resident of the St. Joseph community, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1 at 12:50 p.m. at Franklin Foundation Hospital. He was 78 years old and a native of the Oaklawn Community of Franklin.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Otis Mortuary Chapel located at 501 Willow St. in Franklin. Burial rites will be read at Otis Mortuary Oct. 10 at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery on Irish Bend Road in the Oaklawn Community.
Mr. Verrett is survived by his wife Katherine Verrett of the St. Joseph Community, three sons, Timothy (Theresa) Jones, Clarence Jones and Clarence Verrett Jr., all of Franklin; two daughters, Miss Debra “Debbie” Jones and Mrs. Pamela (Clyde) Mitchell, both of Franklin; a brother, Lionel (Verlie) Verrett of Harbor City, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, 35, great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister and a son.
Rev. Samuel Calhoun will be the officiant.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
