Fromenthal, wanted in overdose death, jailed in Lafayette Parish
A 33-year-old woman with Tri-City ties was arrested Monday on a second-degree murder warrant in connection with a January heroin overdose in Lafayette, KATC reported.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Danielle Fromenthal, 33, Monday on warrants charging her with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice, according to the sheriff’s office website.
The charges are in connection with the death of Sara Richard, KATC said.
Fromenthal is being held in Lafayette Parish jail and has bail set at $300,000.
Earlier this month, The Daily Review reported that Lafayette Metro Narcotics, the joint city-parish drug agency, said Fromenthal was known to have family in the Tri-City area. She had been wanted since March, was aware she was wanted and had evaded arrest since that time, the agency said.
