Bayou Vista woman jailed on battery charge

A 46-year-old woman was arrested after a deputy discovered she bit a male victim multiple times on the arm, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Dawn Height, 46, of the 200 block of Mercury Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. today on the charges of domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence in Bayou Vista.
While speaking with those involved in the disturbance, the deputy observed a male subject with a substantial amount of blood on his arm. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Height bit the male victim multiple times on the arm.
Height was transported to the parish jail. During the booking process, Height began causing a disturbance by yelling racial slurs at a jailer and waking other inmates in the facility. No bail is set.
Hebert reported responding to 36 complaints and reported the following arrests:
—Paige Mabe, 26, of the 2800 block of Fourth Street in Berwick, at 1:37 a.m. today on three warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received information from the Berwick Police Department that a subject with active warrants was at Teche Regional Medical Center. A deputy located Mabe and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $300,000.
—Brittany Morgan, 24, of the 1000 block of Front Street in Morgan City, at 5:35 a.m. today on three warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received information from the Berwick Police Department that a subject with active warrants was at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. A deputy located Morgan and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $300,000.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrest:
—Mylean Phu, 27, of Mallard Street in Morgan City, at 2:41 a.m. today on the charges of improper lane usage and driving while intoxicated. An officer was patrolling the area of La. 182 near Halsey Street when a vehicle was observed traveling out of the lane of travel several times.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Mylean Phu. During the course of the stop, it was believed that Phu had been drinking and appeared to be intoxicated.
Phu was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for further testing. Reports indicate that further testing was conducted utilizing the Intoxilyzer 5000 resulting in a blood alcohol concentration of .081 grams percent.
Phu was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail and incarcerated.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
—Javontrae Levine, 22, of Muggah Street in Patterson, at 11:44 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for the City of Patterson charging him with theft by shoplifting and three bench warrants for 16th Judicial District Court all charging him with criminal neglect of family.
Levine was processed and jailed. No bail is set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
