Tiger Classic begins today

Morgan City High School’s annual Tiger Classic will begin today and continue through Wednesday.
Nine teams will participate in the event, which will feature a double-elimination bracket.
In addition to host Morgan City, West St. Mary, Thibodaux, David Thibodaux, Lafayette, Central Lafourche, Grace King, South Terrebonne and Ascension Catholic will be in action.
Morgan City opened the tournament with a 2 p.m. contest against West St. Mary today. The winner of that game will play again at 8 p.m. today against Ascension Catholic.
In other action today, at 3:30 p.m., Thibodaux faces David Thibodaux, while at 5 p.m., Lafayette will meet Central Lafourche.
Action will continue at 6:30 p.m. when Grace King faces South Terrebonne.
Winners and losers bracket play will continue Tuesday and Wednesday with the losers bracket finals for 5:30 p.m. and the championship set to tip at 7 p.m.
