Sheriff: Woman failed to stop, so she goes to jail

A 42-year-old Bayou Vista woman was arrested for driving recklessly on La. 182, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Sheryl Skinner, 42, of the 100 block of Pluto Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:23 p.m. Tuesday on the charges of reckless operation of a vehicle and flight from an officer.
Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista responded to a report of a reckless driver on La. 182.
The deputy located the suspect vehicle driving towards Berwick.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop. However, the driver of the vehicle failed to pull over, deputies said. While following the vehicle, the deputy observed the driver travel into a turning lane nearly striking an SUV.
The driver then came to a stop. The deputy made contact with the operator of the vehicle, identified as Skinner.
Following the traffic stop investigation, Skinner was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Hebert reported responding to 37 complaints.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Karen Hall, 43, of the 100 block of Maurice Street in Thibodaux, at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday on the charges of license plate light required, driving under suspension, and no proof of insurance. Hall was released on bail at $1,500.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrest:
—Anton D. Williams, 21, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for disturbing the peace by fighting.
Williams turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department.
Williams was booked and incarcerated.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
—Deandre Austin, 21, of Park Street in Patterson, at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday on the charges of no seat belt and driving under suspension and on a warrant with the 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding 81 mph in a 70 mph zone.
Austin was processed and jailed. No bail is set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
