UPDATED: Crash on La. 182 in Berwick

Berwick Police received a call at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday reporting a vehicle accident on La. 182 near Bayside Village Lane. A 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, traveling west on La. 182, rear-ended a 2004 Toyota Corolla turning onto Bayside Village Lane, Berwick Police Chief James Richard said. The driver of the Jetta, Michaela Dupont, 17, of Bayou Vista was cited for following too closely. A passenger in the Corolla was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, Richard said.
