Food drives benefit local Emergency Aid

Church of the Assumption in Franklin will host a drop off point for the annual Food For Families Food Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 8, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
United Way of South Louisiana Emergency Aid in Franklin is in need of non-perishable food items: canned beans, meats, vegetables, etc., and cleaning items, dish washing and laundry detergents, bath soap, toilet paper, etc.
They are also accepting baby items, formula, food, diapers and lotions. Please make sure that items are not out of date before bringing them to the Parish Center Dec. 8.
Other locations include St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Baldwin Fire Department from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
