Sheriff: Teen punched victim

A Patterson teen was charged with battery Sunday after he allegedly punched someone in the head during an argument, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Trey Seneca, 17, of the 100 block of Foxglove Road in Patterson, was arrested at 10:41 p.m. Sunday on the charges of simple battery and criminal damage to property.
A deputy was dispatched to a complaint of a disturbance on Foxglove Drive. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Seneca punched a male victim in the head during an argument, Hebert said. The deputy also discovered that Seneca had punched a wall at the residence during a previous incident, Hebert said. Seneca was jailed with bail set at $750.
Hebert reported responding to 114 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Tabitha G. Gros, 38, of the 600 block of David Drive in Patterson, at 10:26 a.m. Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods and two warrants for probation violation. A deputy located Gros at a business in Berwick on the warrants and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Gros was released after posting $12,000 bail.
—De’Erin Thomas, 19, of the 400 block of Charlie Drive in Patterson, at 7:30 p.m. Friday on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting that occurred at a store in Bayou Vista on Nov. 22. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that the suspect who was seen stealing items had returned to the store, Hebert said. Following the investigation, the deputy released Thomas on a summons to appear in court March 7, 2016.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Jessie H Ridderjelke, 32, of Mobile, Alabama, at 12:08 p.m. Friday on warrants charging him with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ridderjelke who was incarcerated at the Sulphur Police Department was transported to the Morgan City Police Department in regards to Morgan City Police warrants. Ridderjelke was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.
—Eric S. Driskill, 40, of Second Street in Berwick, at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on a warrant charging him with probation violation.
Driskill was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department in regards to a warrant held by Morgan City Police for his arrest. Driskill was jailed.
—Quincy J. Johnson, 21, of Orange Street in Morgan City, at 11:37 p.m. Sunday on the charge of appearing in an intoxicated condition.
An officer patrolling the area of Federal Avenue near Onstead Street observed a person walking in the area and stumble several times, Blair said. The officer made contact with the person, who was identified as Johnson. Johnson appeared to be in an intoxicated condition and was jailed.
—Jairo Molina, 29, of Mandeville, at 3:25 a.m. today on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery.
Molina came into the Morgan City Police Department in regards to an active warrant for his arrest held by Morgan City Police. Molina was jailed.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Bobby R. Mouton, 41, of the 800 block of Tall Timber Drive in Patterson, at 2:49 a.m. Saturday on the charges of simple assault on a police officer and simple battery. Mouton was jailed on $601 cash bail.
—Carmel James Triggs Jr., 34, of the 800 block of Tall Timber Drive in Patterson, at 3:06 a.m. Sunday on the charges of remaining after being forbidden, flight from officer and disturbing the peace intoxicated. Triggs was jailed on $761 bail.
—Taylor Davis, 17, of the 100 block of Natalie Lane in Patterson, at 11:36 p.m. Sunday for failure to appear on the charges of criminal trespassing and vagrancy. Davis was jailed with no bail set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Christina Pitre, 36, of First Street in Morgan City, at 9:42 a.m. Friday on Third Ward City Court warrants for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer by giving false information and theft of goods. Pitre was booked and held on $318 cash bail.
Pitre was one of eight arrests the Franklin Police Department made with the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department, Berwick Police Department, Baldwin Police Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, Patterson Police Department, and Chitimacha Police Department as part of a warrant roundup throughout St. Mary Parish for Third Ward City Court Bench Warrants, McGuire said. Pitre was the only east St. Mary Parish resident arrested.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
