Berwick High School honors athletes in fall sports

Berwick High School honored athletes in five sports during its Fall Sports Awards Night Tuesday at the Berwick Civic Complex.
Athletes who participated in cross country, cheerleading, swimming, volleyball and football were honored. Also recognized were those who achieved LHSAA Class 3A Academic All-State and Academic All-State Composite honors.

Cheerleading
—Co-Captain: Madeleine Hover.
—Panther Pride: Brittany Roberie.
—Most Improved Stunter: Angelle Rachal.
Cross Country
—MVP: Ian Valdez.
—Most Improved: Hector Plata.
—Panther Pride: Jeremy Orgeron.
—All-District: Lauren Cantrelle and Valdez.
Swimming
—Coaches Awards: Ty Kapp and Abbie Koen.
—Most Improved: Stephen Theriot and Megan Soileau.
—Panther Pride: Brannan Lapoint and Morgan Chaisson.
—High Point Award: Mikey Martin and Mary Jordan Melancon.
—Bayou League All-District: Koen, Martin, Nicholas Mayon, Melancon, Theriot, Joseph Borkowski, Soileau and Grayson Wells.
—Southwest League All-District: Melancon.
Football
—Coaches Award: Kenan Jones.
—Panther Pride: Audwin Williams.
—Most Improved: Lucas Hatch and Cade Thibodeaux.
—All-District: Williams (first-team wide receiver), Collin Louviere (second-team quarterback), Jones (second-team wide receiver), Tanner Caldwell (second-team defensive back); and honorable mentions included Mitchell Sanford, Larenz Clark, Lionel Langley, Cooper Roussel, Cody Roberie, Brodie Mire and Blake Bergeron.
Volleyball

—Offensive MVP: Morales and Sydney Aucoin.
—Defensive MVP: Brittany Roberie.
—Most Improved: Macy Wiggins.
—Panther Pride: Hannah Henry.
