Tornado watch in effect until 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for St. Mary Parish and other south Louisiana parishes, effective until 10 p.m.

A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornado formation, and residents should keep an eye on the weather and on sources of weather information.

Possibly severe storms are expected across large portions of south Louisiana today, including St. Mary.
