EVA SAVOIE BENOIT

September 8, 1939 – January 21, 2016
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Eva Savoie Benoit, a native and resident of Franklin, who passed away at the age of 76 on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 8:15 a.m. at the Franklin Foundation Hospital. She will laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Bro. Blaise Smith will officiate the services.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday at Ibert’s from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Survivors include her children, Katherine B. Broussard and husband Jeffery, Michael “Mike” Benoit and companion Denise Johnson, Debra “Debbie” B. Darden and husband Anthony “Tony”, Daisy Benoit and companion Troy Doré, Donald “Donnie” Benoit and companion Michelle Durocher, and Sandra Benoit Cheramie, 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her brothers; Dudless Hebert, Sr., Leroy Savoie; her sisters, Lynn S. Metz, Letress Aucoin, Mary S. Derouen, Theresa Schexnayder, and Gloria Jean Moreaux; and her special friends, Mr. Ira Peltier and Mrs. Fabiola Henry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ross Benoit; her father, Lionel Savoie, Sr.; her mother, Angelle Davis and husband Charlie; and her brothers, Lawless Savoie, Sr. and Lionel Savoie, Jr.
