Adele Loland Arceneaux

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City for Adele Loland Arceneaux, 95, who died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Entombment will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
The Very Rev. Jay L. Baker, V.G., will be celebrant of the funeral mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, A.J. “Red” Arceneaux; four children, Lynn Beaudean (Roger), Ronnie Arceneaux (Janet), Kathy Schaub (Elroy), and Jules Arceneaux (Belinda). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also, grieving her loss are her three sisters, Lois Loland Sanchez, Peg Loland Dugas and Edna Loland Gautreaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oleme and Louisiana LeBlanc Loland; one sister, Rene Loland Bergeron; numerous brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.
Born in St. James, a native of Brusly McCall, and a resident of Morgan City for most of her life, Adele was a kindergarten teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic School for 24 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and teacher. She left a legacy of laughter, recipes, love and strength.
Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Scott Beaudean, Ryan Arceneaux, Brian Arceneaux, Shane Beaudean, Jonathan Schaub, and Justin Arceneaux.
The Arceneaux family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Teche Regional Medical Center, Southern Care Hospice Services, Morgan City Health Care, and her two sitters, Gwen Elliot and Diane Weeks, for the wonderful care given to her in her time of need.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Hargrave Funeral Home Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Catholic School, Central Catholic High School, Morgan City and Sts. Leo-Seton Catholic School in Lafayette.
