REV. GALE M. GIANDELONE

November 10, 1954- January 29, 2016
Rev. Gale M. Giandelone, 61, a resident of Bayou L’Ourse, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Rev. Gale was born on November 10, 1954, in Morgan City, the daughter of Bert Carter Sr. and Mary Jackson Carter.
Rev. Gale was the associate pastor of Healing Stream Ministries Inc. and loved her church family so much. She welcomed and loved the chance to do the work of the Lord and was always showing God’s love to others. She was always there when someone needed, whether it was for prayer or just a helping hand. Gale has brought so much laughter and happiness to every life she has touched. She loved to sing for the Lord and it was simply angelic. She also had a love for painting and created the first mural for the church. Over the years, Rev. Gale published two books, which brought joy and hope to as many that read them. She also created the local television show “Rejoicing with Gale,” which brought inspiration to its viewers. Her love for laughing and joking made her such a beautiful person inside and out. She will be greatly missed by many and as her husband Benny would say, “If you didn’t know her, you missed out!”
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Benny A. Giandelone of Bayou L’Ourse; one sister, Debbie Carter of Morgan City; three brothers, Bert Carter Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Ponchatoula, Don Carter and wife, Denise, of Morgan City, and Terry Carter and wife, Lisa, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; godchild and nephew, Jared Recinos of Morgan City; nephew and caretaker, Steven Recinos of Morgan City; two stepsons, Lane Giandelone and wife, Melissa, and Kirk Giandelone, all of Labadieville; two granddaughters, Hanna and Jenna Giandelone; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rev. Gale was preceded in death by her parents, Bert Carter Sr. and Mary Jackson Carter; one sister, Sharon Carter Recinos; and mother- and father-in-law, Joseph and Bernice Giandelone.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Healing Stream Ministries in Bayou Vista with Pastor Bert Carter Jr. officiating.
