WAYNE THOMAS MELANCON
Wayne Thomas Melancon, 67, of Beaumont, TX died Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. He was born on November 24, 1948 to Agnes Rita Talbot and Ulysses Joseph Melancon in Franklin and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Shirleen Melancon; son, Chad Michael Melancon and his wife, Jennifer, of Houston; brothers, Larry Melancon and his wife, Frieda, of Franklin; and Ken Melancon and his wife, Jacqueline, of Victorville, CA; sister, Carolyn Johnston and her husband, Tommy, of Trinity, TX; and Jan Percle and her husband, Glenn, of Marrero, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of Mr. Melancon’s family and friends will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive in Beaumont. An additional gathering of family and friends will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m., Friday February 26, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin. A gathering will begin at 9 a.m., with a memorial mass at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 27, at Church of the Assumption in Franklin. Inurnment will follow at the Franklin Cemetery under the direction of Ibert’s Mortuary.
