Sheriff: Woman remained where forbidden

A 24-year-old Morgan City woman was charged Tuesday with remaining where forbidden after returning to a home a deputy had told her to stay away from, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Kandace Francis, 24, of the 300 block of Cardinal Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday on the charge of remaining where forbidden.
A deputy was dispatched to a disturbance at a residence near the Greenwood overpass in Morgan City. The deputy stopped Francis who admitted that she returned to the residence after being told earlier in the day by another deputy not to. Francis was booked into parish jail and released on a summons to appear in court May 27.
Hebert reported responding to 36 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Thomas Cook, 32, of the 5600 block of Cargill Road in Patterson, was arrested at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday on the charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person in the parking lot of a business on U.S. 90 in Bayou Vista. The deputy made contact with the suspect, identified as Cook, and observed several indicators of impairment. Cook was booked into the parish jail and released on a summons to appear in court May 27.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Charisma L. Mouton, 25, of Anaheim Drive in Houma, was arrested at 6:19 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods.
Officers located Mouton in the area of St. Clair Street near First Street where she was arrested on an active arrest warrant held by the 32nd Judicial District Court. Mouton was jailed.
—Ryan J. Bowman, 21, of Lagonda Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday on warrants charging him with failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
Bowman was arrested in Morgan City Court in regard to active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Bowman was jailed.
—Shenice A. Wood, 23, of Halsey Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for probation violation.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Erica Alexander, 33, of King Drive in Marrero, was arrested at 7:51 a.m. Tuesday on the charges of stop sign and yield sign violations, no tail lamps and driving under suspension. Alexander posted $1,500 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
