DONALD EUGENE PETKUS
September 8, 1947-January 21, 2016
Donald Eugene Petkus, a native of Racine, Wisconsin, and a longtime resident of Patterson, passed away Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at his home.
He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 242 in Patterson. In Donald’s early years, he worked as a diver, eventually working his way to supervisor and then a consultant.
Survivors include his son, Jeremy Michael Petkus of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Collin Petkus of Broussard and Damian Hobbs of Oregon; his sister, Jane Ohm and her husband, Fritz; and his brothers, Peter Petkus, and Richard Petkus and his wife, Deborah.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, DeaLynn Elizabeth Clark Petkus; two infant children; his parents; and an infant brother and sister.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, March 18, 2016, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson from 11 a.m. until time of service. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. at Ibert’s. Monsignor J. Douglas Courville, JCL, will conduct the service.
