Sheriff: Patterson man made death threats, cyberstalked victim

A 21-year-old Patterson man was charged Monday with making death threats against a woman via phone and social media, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Bryce J. Tabor, 21, of the 100 block of Hendricks Street in Patterson, at 11:17 a.m. Monday on a warrant charging him with cyberstalking and telephone harassment and on warrants from Lafourche Parish for possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane usage and failure to pay fines
Earlier this month, a detective with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a report of harassment. The detective found evidence that Tabor attempted to contact a woman over five dozen times and made threats on the victim’s life and the lives of others via phone and social media, Hebert said.
The detective obtained a warrant for Tabor’s arrest and subsequently located him at his home. Tabor was also wanted on active warrants from Lafourche Parish. No bail is set.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Shanita M. Watts, 38, of Barrow Street in Morgan City, at 6:45 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging her with contempt of court.
Watts was located on Seventh Street and found to have an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Watts was jailed.
—Heidi R. Sams, 37, of La. 182 in Morgan City, at 10:07 p.m. Monday on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and no turn signal.
An officer in the area of Second Street observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal while turning on to Brashear Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Sams, was asked to exit the vehicle. The officer was given consent to search Sams’ vehicle and located an item used to smoke illegal narcotics. Sams was jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Nicole Hillebrandt, 37, of the 3800 block of Francis Street in Berwick, at 7:40 p.m. Monday on the charges of speeding 35 mph in a 20 mph zone, suspended driver’s license and on a 32nd Judicial District warrant for failure to appear. She was transferred to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
