Sanchez and Aleman earn 1st team all-district honors

Morgan City had two players earn first-team All-District 7-III honors.
Senior defender Mario Sanchez and sophomore forward Brayan Aleman led the Tigers selections.
Morgan City had four second-team selections: junior goalkeeper Daniel Valadez, senior defender Trevor Beam, freshman midfielder Jose Aguilera and junior midfielder Edgar Calderon.
Morgan City’s honorable mention selections were: Irving Montes, Cesar Zavala, Robert Prejeant, Joshua Nguyen and Keny Ramos.
District champion Vandebilt Catholic swept the individual honors as sophomore Austin Breaux is the Defensive Most Valuable Player, while senior Mitch Gautreaux is the Offensive MVP. Paul Shenton is the Coach of the Year.
