Berwick Junior High sweeps Bourgeois Relays

Berwick High School swept the Tommy Bourgeois Relays March 22 in Berwick.
The Panthers scored 175 points, while the Lady Panthers totaled 148 points.
Patterson’s Kelin Williams was named Field Most Valuable Player, while Berwick’s Kyle Valdez was the Track MVP. Williams finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 36 feet, 1 inch, second in the long jump with a mark of 17 feet, 3 inches and third in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet.
Valdez won the 1,600-meter run in 5:13, the 800-meter run in 2:26.70 and the 3,200-meter run in 12:06.
On the girls side, Berwick’s Kaylee Percle and Arianna Jones were Co-Track MVPs, while Chitimatcha’s Amber Mora won the Field MVP.
Percle won the 1,600-meter run in 6:29, while she won the 800-meter run in 2:58.30.
Jones finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:11.11 and first in the 200-meter dash in 29.53.
Mora finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 25 feet, 11 inches and first in the high jump with a mark of 4 feet, 6 inches.
