Centerville area put on alert after industrial valves stolen

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the theft of four industrial valves from a business on La. 317 in Centerville.
The items are described by the business as one carbon steel 4F-600 and three carbon steel 3F-600 valves that look like the ones in the pictures included in this release.
The total value of the stolen items is estimated at $10,000.
Sheriff Mark Hebert is advising businesses and residents who live near industrial facilities to be on the lookout for suspicious activity and to immediately contact the sheriff’s office or local law enforcement should they notice anything out of the ordinary.
