Police: Man booked on 11 warrants

A 31-year-old Morgan City man was captured on 11 outstanding warrants Thursday after he fled on foot from officers, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Brittan M. Boudreaux, 31, of Elizabeth Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:47 a.m. Thursday on the charges of resisting an officer and criminal trespassing, and on warrants for failure to appear on the charge of resisting an officer, failure to appear on the charge of no driver’s license, failure to appear on the charge of criminal trespassing, failure to appear on the charge of resisting an officer, probation violation, failure to appear on the charge of resisting an officer, failure to appear on the charge of possession of synthetic marijuana, failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear on the charge of flight from an officer, failure to appear on the charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and on a hold for probation and parole.
A patrolling officer observed Boudreaux on a bicycle in the area of La. 182 near 11th Street. The officer knew of numerous active warrants for Boudreaux. The officer attempted to stop Boudreaux when he began fleeing on foot.
A foot chase ensued for several blocks and more officers responded to assist. Boudreaux was captured moments later hiding under a home on Amelia Street. Boudreaux was jailed.
Blair reported the following arrests:
—Calie E. Anslem, 25, of Cottonwood Street in Morgan City, at 8:30 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for probation and parole violation. Officers located and arrested Anslem in the area of Birch Street on the warrant. Anslem was jailed.
—Aubary A. White, 24, of Belanger Street in Morgan City, at 3:40 p.m. Thursday for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana.
White was transported from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office jail to the Morgan City Police Depart-ment in regards to an arrest warrant. White was booked into the Morgan City jail.
—Patrick L. Augman, 42, of Edenborn Avenue in Metairie, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday on the charges of direct contempt of court by insulting or abusive language to the court, direct contempt of court by disorderly conduct toward the court and direct contempt of court by breach of peace interfering with the court.
Augman was arrested in the 6th Ward Morgan City Court for three counts of direct contempt of court during court proceedings. Augman was jailed.
—Jason E. Deal, 45, of La. 11 in Buras, at 8:18 p.m. Thursday on the charges of disturbing the peace intoxicated and resisting an officer.
Officers responded to Lake End Park in regards to a subject asking for money from campers. Officers located a subject who was later identified as Deal and matched the description of the subject provided. Officers spoke with Deal, who appeared to be intoxicated.
Deal was uncooperative with officers and used profane language, which drew the attention of the campers, Blair said. Deal was placed under arrest and continued to be uncooperative with officers. Deal was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 55 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Heidi Songe, 39, of Morgan City was additionally charged at 11:09 a.m. Thursday on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks.
A correctional officer located the active warrant. Songe was already incarcerated and being housed at the Morgan City Police Department jail when she was booked on the new charge.
—Terez Cooper, 22, of the 1900 block of Main Street in Patterson, at 2:23 p.m. Thursday on the charge of theft.
A deputy investigating a complaint of theft at a store in Bayou Vista, collected evidence that Cooper, an employee, was intentionally not scanning items into the register, giving over $350 in goods to customers. Cooper was jailed and later released on $1,000 bail.
—Lyn K. Gauge, 46, of the 1200 block of Dottie Lane in Ricohoc, at 6:32 p.m. Thursday on the charge of theft of goods.
A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista learned from store personnel that Gauge was seen taking items from the shelves and concealing them in plastic bags. She then attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods. Gauge was released on a summons to appear in court May 27.
—Crystal Clark, 31, of the 4000 block of South Indigo Drive in Harvey, at 9:33 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple assault and disturbing the peace by using offensive words.
During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, a correctional officer located an active warrant for Clark. No bail is set.
—Kailyn Broussard, 17, of the 300 block of Brashear Avenue in Morgan City, at 10:14 p.m. Thursday on the charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug without a prescription and possession of lonamin.
—Stephanie Kober, 20, of the 500 block of Lima Street in Berwick, at 10:14 p.m. Thursday on the charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Xanax, possession of Klonapin and two counts possession of a legend drug without a prescription.
While conducting a traffic stop on U.S. 90 in the Patterson area, a deputy smelled the strong odor of burning marijuana coming from the vehicle. The deputy also made contact with two passengers, identified as Broussard and Kober.
While speaking with the subjects, both admitted to the deputy that they had marijuana in their purses. The deputy located the illegal substance and also found over two dozen pills and items of drug paraphernalia. Broussard and Kober could not provide a prescription for the legend drugs. Both were jailed with no bail set.
—Charles Cantrell, 45, of the 100 block of Two Sisters Court in Bayou Vista, at 2:21 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division patrolling Bayou Vista observed Cantrell, who was wanted on an active warrant, driving a vehicle on La. 182. The warrant stems from an investigation in which detectives conducted a search warrant at Cantrell’s home and located several pipes used to smoke marijuana. Detectives made the stop and arrested Cantrell, who was released on a summons to appear in court May 27.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Kaci Parker, 28, of Fifth Street in Berwick, at 4:43 p.m. Thursday on the charges of speeding, suspended driver’s license and failure to appear for probation review hearing. No bail is set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
