M.E. Norman Penny Drive

M.E. Norman Elementary’s 4-H Club held a Penny Drive to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Pennies for Patients.” The funds, collected during a three-week period, benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Students collected pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters, which help fund ways to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The schoolwide competition collected $558 for the society. The first-place class was Bonnie Guarisco’s first-grade class. Second place was Kendra Thomas’ fourth-grade class, and third place was Anita Billiot’s second-grade class. Also pictured is Lori Jo Case, the 4-H teacher sponsor.
