CHARLES ALLEN TATE SR.

Charles Allen Tate Sr., 80, a resident and native of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be observed Saturday at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 113 Federal Ave. in Morgan City, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Dr. C.F. Smith Sr. will officiate the services.
He is survived by two sons, Charles A. Tate Jr. of Slidell, and Kevin Tate of New Orleans; five daughters, Arnise Tate of Atlanta, Yolanda T. Thomas of Houma, Jada L. Tate-Gray of Morgan City, Carla Wilkerson of Lafayette, and Dedra Parker of Dallas; two sisters, Debra Gray of New Orleans, and Gwendolyn Smith of Houston; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two wives and his parents.
