Teen charged for alleged role in fighting videos

A 19-year-old Morgan City man was charged Thursday for his alleged involvement in fighting videos containing juveniles, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
Dontre J. Parker, 19, of Levee Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:03 p.m. Thursday on a warrant charging him with disturbing the peace fighting.
Parker turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department on the warrant, which stems from a three-month police investigation into alleged videos of fights that were posted on YouTube. All the videos have been removed from the website, police said.
Two other suspects in the case turned themselves in to police Wednesday. Brodie D. Chapman, 38, of Louisiana Street in Morgan City, was arrested on warrants charging him contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, disturbing the peace by loud obscene language and principal to disturbing the peace by fighting.
Theresa O. Coleman, 59, of Louisiana Street in Morgan City, was arrested on warrants charging her with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, disturbing the peace by loud obscene language and principal to disturbing the peace by fighting.
On Tuesday, police announced that they issued warrants for 21 people, including 17 juveniles, believed to be involved in fights in the Morgan City area. There were no reports of injuries in the fights, police said.
Five of the juveniles have been arrested in connection with the fighting videos, police said.
Police recovered evidence of 14 different altercations. Of the 21 people allegedly involved, nine suspects received multiple counts of engaging in such activity. The direct involvement, inciting such activity or the posting of such activity on social media outlets can be a violation of Louisiana law.
