Police Reports 4-28-16

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Bryan Sam, 48, of Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 5:08 p.m. on a warrant charging him with theft of goods. No bond was set.
Crystal Bourgeois, 33, of Deforest Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 10:05 p.m. on charges of stop sign violation, no insurance and no driver’s license on person. She was held on $750 bond.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Wayne W. Foster, 63, of Oneil Chube Drive, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday and charged with theft and released on a summons.
Darrell Gordon, 57, of New Iberia, was arrested Tuesday and charged with hit and run driving and released on a summons.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Chance Landry, 26, of Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Wednesday at 9:55 a.m. and charged on a warrant for monetary instrument abuse. Landry was released after posting $750 bond.
Charlene Bell, 60, of 221 Sanders St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 11:19 a.m. and charged on a felony warrant for issuing worthless checks over $3,500 to a Franklin business. Bell was released on a summons to appear in court.
A juvenile female, 16, of Ashton, was arrested Wednesday at 5:20 p.m. and charged with disturbing the peace and resisting an officer. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
John Banks, 43, of Sorrel, was arrested Wednesday at 7:28 p.m. and charged on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. No bail was set.
Ervin Gant Jr., 47, of 805 St. John St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 11:11 a.m. and charged on three warrants for the charges of failure to register as a sex offender, failure to obtain special identification card as a sex offender and failure to register as a sex offender. No bail was set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Gene Stratton Jr., 28, of 3315 Fourth St., Berwick, was arrested Tuesday at 7:32 p.m. and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stratton was released on a $10,000 bond.
Herbert Fontenot Jr., 43, of Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Tuesday at 7:32 p.m. and charged with possession of Legend Drugs. Fontenot was released on a $1,000 bond.
