HERBERT HENSLEY

Mr. Herbert Hensley, 90, a resident of Franklin and native of Jeanerette passed away Sunday, May 28, 2016, at 9:01 p.m., at Franklin Health Center following a short illness.
Visitations for Mr. Hensley and daughter, Mary Jane Jackson, will be held Saturday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Otis Mortuary Chapel in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read for Mr. Hensley and daughter, Mary, Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. Jules Anderson III officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Verna M. King Hensley of Jeanerette; a devoted friend, Elzina Boutte of Jeanerette; three sons, Herbert Boutte and Dwayne Goodwin, both of Jeanerette, and Michael Boutte of Lafayette; three daughters, Esther Sereal and Celestine Edwards of Jeanerette, and Jeffneta Boutte of Fort Worth, TX; 17 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Hensley was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers and one daughter.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
