Stephenville - Services for Cavin James, 49, a salesman for Southcross Energy, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Erath County Cowboy Church with the Rev. Jimmy Holloman officiating and the Rev. Werth Mayes assisting. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Cavin was born in Seagraves, Texas on September 10, 1966 to Gean James and Alberta Hibbitts James.
Cavin was known for his friendliness, humor and ability to charm and converse with anyone about any subject. He was always ready to give a helping hand and was beloved by his many friends. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville and was also a member of the PRCA- Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association.
Survivors include his wife, Stacey James of Stephenville; children, Tristen James and wife, Trish of Jeanerette; Ben Noland and wife, Tena of Midland; Daniel Noland of Waco; three grandchildren, Taryn James, Troy Noland and Mattea Noland; his parents, Gean Lesley and Alberta James of Franklin; two brothers, Cody James and wife, Diane; and Cary James and wife, Crystal of Centerville; in-laws, Dan and Sharon Malone of Stephenville; sister-in-law, Lisa Thompson of Frisco; and several nieces, Brittany, Brooke, Morgan and Nikki; and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
