Local departments report arrests

The Morgan City Police Department arrested four overnight:

—Clarence Sheets, 40, of Morgan City, arrested Monday at 2:06 p.m., charged with warrant for failure to pay drug screen fee and probation violation. Incarcerated with no bond set.

—Alvin Moore, 26, of Berwick, arrested Monday at 2:54 p.m., charged with driving under suspension and warrants for window tint violation, and child restraint violation. Incarcerated with no bond set.

—Wille Ransey, 64, of Morgan City, arrested Monday at 5:48 p.m., charged with theft by shoplifting for stealing a beer from the Ride Shell Service Station. Booked and incarcerated with bond set at $480.

—Jorge Garaza, 25, of Berwick, arrested Monday at 8:38 p.m., charged with driving without lawful presence in the United States, failure to dim headlights, expired registration, no driver’s license, no license plate light. Booked and incarcerated with no bond set at this time.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:

—Edward D. Evans, 43, of River Road, Lake Charles, arrested Monday at 1:32 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on charges of improper lane usage and driving under suspension. Located in, placed under arrest and booked into the Morgan City Jail with a $2,500 bond.

—Misael Garcia, 22, of Lake View Drive, Amelia, arrested Monday at 11:21 a.m. for simple criminal damage to property and criminal trespass. Arrested and issued a summons to appear in court July 11.

—Shane C. Bledsoe Sr., 27, of Shannon Street, Patterson, arrested today at 4:26 a.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Arrested and booked into the parish jail with a $100,000 bond.

The St. Mary Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force arrests included:

—Garome Collins, 22, of Bayside Drive, Jeanerette, arrested Monday at 2:11 p.m. for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Arrested and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

The Patterson Police Department reported one arrest:

—Marcus White, 19, of Vaughn Alley, Patterson, arrested for speeding 45 in a 35 mph zone, stop sign violation, simple possession of marijuana, tail lamps out, aggravated flight from a police officer, failure to use turn signals and headlamps, no driver’s license. Booked with no bond set.
