Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson for Lucy Swire Faulk, a native of Grand Chenier and a longtime resident of Bayou Vista, who passed away at the age of 79 on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert’s beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until time of service at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.
Survivors include her six children, Charlene Faulk and her fiancé Jay Hotard, Patsy F. Henry and her husband Patrick, Cecil Faulk and his wife Angie, Ricky Faulk and his wife Carla, Cathy F. Harris and her husband Johnny, and Berlin Kingston Faulk; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Jessica, Scott, Natasha, Cecily, Amy, Tabitha, Zachary, and Traci; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilfred; four sisters, Mary, Lucille, Ruby, and Betty; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnell Faulk; her father, Delma Swire; her mother, Adia Bourque Meaux; three brothers, Freddie, Obra and Wilson; and one sister, Hilda.
