MELISSA GUILLORY BROUSSARD

Melissa Guillory Broussard, 48, of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. She was born May 30, 1968, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to Junior and Dianna Guillory.
Melissa enjoyed life and loved to visit people. She also loved animals, photography, all her godchildren, babies, camping, the outdoors and swimming, but she especially loved spending time with her family.
Melissa is survived by her loving husband, Kent Broussard; her daughters, Catherine Broussard and Elizabeth Broussard; her granddaughter, Alyssa Grace Broussard; her parents, Junior and Dianna Guillory; her brother, Bobby (Rose) Lodrigues; her sisters, Sharon (Perry) Portier, Rhonda (Paul Jr.) DeHart and Bonnie (Ivan Jr.) Acosta; her nieces, Lauren Aucoin, Kayla Perot, Emilena Perot, Katie DeHart and Samantha Kimmey; her nephews, Joshua DeHart, Garrad Lodrigues, Chris Martin and Davis Portier; and also many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents; her son, Michael Joseph Broussard; her aunt, Geraldine Acosta; and her uncle, Hillary Herbert.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2016, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. A Funeral Mass celebrating Melissa’s life will immediately follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Morgan City Cemetery.
