BARBARA BOONE BRADLEY

Funeral services for Barbara Lee Boone Bradley will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the chapel of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie, with Bro. Toby Ryder officiating. Burial will follow in the Pythian Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Bradley was born in Lecompte, LA on March 7, 1931. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 10, 2016. She died peacefully at Pelican Pointe in Maurice, LA.
Mrs. Bradley grew up in Bunkie, LA and married the late Darrel Bradley in January 1952. She and Darrel spent most of their adult life in Franklin where they raised their four children.
Mrs. Bradley served the Lord in many areas at First Baptist Church during her time in Franklin.
She loved her brothers and sisters and enjoyed visiting with them.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and prayed for her loved ones dally.
She was an accomplished seamstress and delighted in sewing for her children and grandchildren. She loved to bake, entertain and play bridge. She was kind, generous and always ready to forgive.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Darrel Lyndon Bradley and her parents, Travis and Bertha Hudnall Boone,
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Lyndon Bradley of Houma and Lee Harlon Bradley of Wilmington, DE; two daughters. Deborah Lynn Bradley Sirven and husband, Rick, of Prairieville and Lisa Henderson and husband, Bryan, of Lafayette; two brothers, Clay Boone and Brent Boone, both of Baton Rouge; seven sisters, Helen Brouillette of New Iberia; Glennie Watkins of Alexandria; Betty Pharis of Pineville; Glenda Roberts of Victoria. TX; Leila Knight of Pryor. OK; Theresa Frazier of Brusly and Diane Dusang of Picayune, MS; seven grandchildren, Brandon Sirven, Kellie Stoddard, Jordan Sirven, Maritza Sirven, Kallie Patin, Katelin Bradley and Jessica Bradley; six great grandchildren, Collin Studebaker, Theron Bradley, Carter Bradley, Avery Stoddard and Luke Stoddard.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pelican Pointe, Rosie, Ryan, Tanequa, Christy and all who took such good care of her every day. We would also like to thank Community Hospice for their support during this difficult time, Valerie, Zac, Angela, Bro. Toby and others that gave her comfort.
