DONALD FELIX PRICE, SR.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Donald Felix Price Sr. will be held during a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Thomas Vu, Pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, April 6, 2015, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitations will resume Tuesday at St. Jules Catholic Church at 8 a.m. and continue until time of Mass. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Price, T.J. Bailey, Nick Charpentier, Joshua Stephenson, Kiley Aucoin Russell and Roy Stovall. Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Stovall, Jack Stovall, Dwight Stovall, Brian Stovall and Todd Stovall.
Donald was born in Morgan City on April 13, 1936 and passed away on April 3, 2015, ten days shy of his 79th birthday, and was a lifelong resident of Franklin. Donald was a 1955 graduate of Hanson Memorial High School. He worked for the Louisiana Department of Transportation for 30 plus years, then with the Corp of Engineers until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and a faithful LSU and Saints fan. His favorite past time was visiting and spending quality time with family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years Dora “Queenie” Delcambre Price; one son, Donald “Donnie” F. Price Jr. and his wife, Cyndi of Centerville; five daughters, Lydia P. Godeaux and her husband, C.J., of Eunice; Rachel P. Aucoin and her husband, Kevin, of Charenton; Paula P. Stephenson and her husband, Leroy, of Franklin; Tracey P. Charpentier and her husband, Keith, of Franklin; and Penny P. Bailey and her husband, Trevor of Charenton. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren’ and two great great grandchildren. Survivors also include one sister, JoAnn Price LaGrange Firmin; two sisters-in-law, Hattie Price Norris and Marie Delcambre Howard; and numerous nephews and nieces that were all so close to his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Price Sr. and Theodora Devillier Price; two brothers, Lawrence Jr. and Gary; a grandson; a niece; and a nephew; as well as by his parents-in-law, Ozer and Eunice Lafont Delcambre; one sister-in-law, Wanda Delcambre Stovall; and two brothers-in-laws, Norbert Delcambre and Fred Stovall.
