DOROTHY BABINO YOUMAN

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016, 1 p.m., at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Baldwin, for Mrs. Dorothy Babino Youman. She will be interred in Greater New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Emile Jolivette, pastor, will officiate the service.
Viewing will be Saturday, February 13, at 10 a.m. until the time of service at Greater New Home Baptist Church.
A native and resident of Baldwin, Dorothy’s earthly journey ended on February 8, 2016, at 1:30 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center/LTEC Division in New Iberia.
Left to celebrate her life are her children, two daughters, Alziner Harris of Orange, TX and Telfare (Steven) Gibson of Franklin; three sons, Joseph Youman of Baldwin, Telpher (Noweedia) Youman Jr. of Sunset, LA and Brandon (Shelly) Schexnayder of Franklin; 22 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Telpher Youman Sr.; one son, Larry Johnson; parents, Henry and Emily Babino; sister, Elizabeth Pete; niece, Emily Phillips; and two great grandchildren.
