EMANUEL ‘BUBEE’ SKINNER JR.

Emanuel “Bubee” Skinner Jr., 97, a native and a resident of Morgan City, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 2:30 p.m., at his residence.
Visitation will be observed Friday, February 5 at the Pilgrim Grove Baptist Church in Morgan City, from 9 a.m. until funeral services and Masonic Rites, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial with Military Rights will follow funeral services in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Mr. Skinner was a Veteran of the United States Army and a World War II Buffalo Soldier, receiving an Honorable Discharge.
Memories of “Bubee” as he was known to many, will forever be remembered in the hearts of his loving and devoted daughter, Joyce Skinner-Thomas of Morgan City; three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and the Siracusa Community and other relatives and friends.
Emanuel Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one grandson, and a great grandson, as well as two brothers and four sisters.
