HARRIS ‘SKIP’ LEWIS

Harris “Skip” Lewis, 66, a native and a resident of Jeanerette, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at 4:40 p.m., at Lafayette General Hospital.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at First Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jeanerette, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 12 p.m. Burial will be in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
Memories of Skip will forever be remembered in the hearts of his loving mother, Clara Lewis, his lovely wife, Ruby W. Lewis and a son Curley Carter Jr., all of Jeanerette; two brothers, Forest “Betty” Lewis of Jeanerette and Morris “Elaine” Lewis of Verdunville; three stepbrothers, Clarence “Denise” Booker Benjamin and Terry “Joyce” Benjamin, all of Jeanerette, and Darryl “Elydia” Benjamin of Lafayette; five stepsisters, Dale “David” Lewis and Joyce Hensley, both of Jeanerette, Elizabeth “Ronald” Bernard of Katie, TX, Cynthia Benjamin of Atlanta, GA and Betty Willis of Franklin; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
