JAMES LEROY ‘BIG JIM’ GROGAN JR.

James Leroy “Big Jim” Grogan, Jr., 56, a resident of Morgan City, and a native of Patterson, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Chateau Terrebonne Healthcare at 9:49 p.m.
Visitation will be observed on Monday, August 31, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Morning Glory Ministries in Morgan City, with Apostle Hendry A. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow funeral services in the Home Industrial Cemetery in Patterson.
Cherished and divine memories of “Big Jim,” as he was known to many, will forever be remembered by his son, James Griffin; his loving mother, Hattie Mae Wilson, both of Patterson; five brothers, Ivory Wilson (Vanessa) of Algiers, LA; Gene Grogan of Dallas, TX; Donald Thomas of Morgan City; Ron Thomas (Monique) of Gonzales, LA; and Reginald Thomas of Houston, TX; five sisters, Mrs. Billy (Janet G.) Taylor of Walls, MS; Sandra Grogan of Patterson; Derise Miller of Charleston, SC; Charlita Mosely of Baton Rouge; and Mrs. Darryl (Donnette) Webber of Broussard; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his father, and one sister.
