JOHN WILLIAM DAVIDSON

July 5, 1922 — August 24, 2015
John William Davidson, a native of Avoca Island and a resident of Berwick, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015. John lived a full life of 93 years.
John is survived by his grandson, John C. Davidson and his wife, Christa, of Berwick; his sister, Merle Hinchee and her husband, Ray, of Houma; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, John Craig, Cassi and Cameron; five nephews, Warren Jr., Steve and Glen Davidson, and Duke and Lane Hinchee; and one niece, Susan Hinchee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl “Susie” Davidson; his son, Craig Davidson; his parents, John Jessie and Florence Davidson; and his brothers, Clyde and Warren Davidson.
A simple and quiet man, John was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. After the war, he spent his days commercial fishing and later retired from Berry Brothers as a superintendent. After retirement, John enjoyed gardening in his back yard.
Services for John will be held privately by the family.
